Happy New Year, guys!!!
Sorry I’m a bit late with the new year greetings, but it’s been a busy start of the year and I really-really wanted to get this illustration done before posting.
I wish you all a great 2017, much better than 2016!
I hope all of your new year resolutions will come to fruition!
Let’s do our best!
I usually don’t make new year resolutions because I know I won’t see them through, but this year I actually made one. I thought, if it’s just one maybe I might make it happen?
I’m planing on making an illustrated calendar for 2018! I already have the idea for the theme, I just have to start drawing.
So, fingers crossed!
I’ll tell you more about it when it’ll start taking shape.
Us little beings residing in the little “hamster cave” (as we call it) started the new year at full speed.
Some “spring cleaning” needed to be done (probably since 2015) in the little cave as it was overflowing with…stuff, loads and loads of stuff!
(I’m a bit of a hoarder and, as I have one or two (or a few :D ) hobbies, I tend to collect all sort of things.)
And so, the holiday vacation was the perfect time for the boyfriend to roll up his sleeves and start making some order in all the chaos.
Starting with the (one too many) aloe vera pots (and other plants) that were overtaking my small kitchen.
So, we made them a cosy place, near the door to the balcony:
Where they’ll be very happy and in no one’s way.
Next was the drawing table, which was almost entirely covered with all sorts of things.
The boyfriend came up with a great idea and transformed the messy, almost no free space, drawing table into this neat working space:
The adventure ended with a pair of curtains for the balcony, to protect my precious plants from the harsh sunlight:
These are Ikea curtains to which I modified the hanging system and shortened the length.
Next on the list, organising my (al over the place) fabric stash(es)!
Fighting! (if you watch japanese/korean anime/drama, you know what I’m saying)
